Queensland Shared Services is a shared service provider in the Queensland Government.
They provide finance, procurement, human resource management, telecommunications and mail support services to more than 70,000 public servants across 27 Queensland Government departments and agencies
The Needs / Challenges
- HR project to replicate data in real time from Oracle multitenant container database to MS SQL Server
- Provide real time HR management reports for various departments for analysis
- Low impact on transaction systems, low latency
- Scalable to take advantage of new platforms and able to add new sources when needed
The Solution
- After testing Oracle GoldenGate and HVR, Attunity Replicate was chosen due to its ease of use, efficient data movement and real time change capabilities
The Results
- Real time reports now provided across QSS departments
- Now extremely busy thanks to their replicated databases
- Signed new 3-year agreement Jan 2018
