Hollard is a niche insurer and underwriting agent. A global financial services business with operations in Australia, Africa, Europe, India, China and the United States.
The business was keen to modernise an environment that had inherited a number of different systems.
The Needs / Challenges
- Replication from legacy DB2 and Informix systems to SQL Server
- Needed real time data migration for timely analytics
- Any solution had to support the potential for sending data to the cloud (MS Azure)
The Solution
- After trialing IBM CDC software, Attunity Replicate was chosen after a successful proof of concept.
The Results
- Hollard modernised and accelerated data set up
- Able to migrate to a private cloud in MS Azure when necessary
- Provided training to Hollard employees to aid self-service
